Kobe Bryant Drops 60Pts One Last Time In His Final Game
Kobe "The Black Mamba" Bryant gave us all he had last night. He scored 60pts as he lead the Lakers to one last victory. He gave the fans exactly what they wanted and didn't cheat us one minute. Its going to be hard to envision the NBA without him for 20 years he has always been an assassin. The entire NBA looked up to him and respected how he gave his all each and every night. He always left it on the court win or lose. In his eyes if you didn't win a championship then the season was a bust. Kobe has left the league in good hands with the likes of Stephen Curry, Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrooke. Kobe brought the city of Los Angeles 5 World Championships with the help from one of the most dominate big man whoever played the game Shaquille "The Big Diesel" O'neal. Who knows how many championships they could've won had they stayed together. Kobe has been full of laughter throughout his Farewell Tour unlike any other year he's been in the NBA. Throughout his time in the NBA he's been known as a killer assassin that will do whatever it takes to get the job done. He's played through numerous amounts of injuries and endured tremendous amount of pain while chasing a World Championship. He body finally gave up on him but his mind didn't. Last night was nothing short of heroic, he was totally gassed in the second half but continued to fight hard to will his team to one last victory. As the game was nearing its end, you could feel the crowd pulling for him to reach the 60 point mark on every attempt. Once he got fouled near the end and walked to the free throw line to take his possible last two free throws of his career the entire building when silent. He made the first for his 59th point and then his last for the 60th and the crowd exploded. His teammates hugged him and thanked him for all he did for the game. Last night couldn't have been written any better. So I come to a close, Kobe showed me that no matter what happens the mind can make you accomplish things you never knew was possible even if your body has completely given up on you.
