About
My name is Frank Hollingsworth Jr., but most know me as Franknitty. I was born and raised in the heart of the Delta in a small town called Cleveland,MS. I’m married to my high school crush. Her name is LaShantel Hollingsworth and we have two beautiful kids together; Laila 3 yrs old and Ava 8mos. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic design and went on to obtain a Master's degree in Information Systems from Strayer University. I’ve always been drawn to art even as a child, but it wasn’t until later in life that I really took it serious. When I graduated from college, I thought I was going to join some big company and hone in my skills as a graphic designer and see my work all over the world. Little did I know that when I graduated from college the bubble would burst and everything would go into the tank. Companies were going through tough times laying off entire art departments and soon crushed my dreams of becoming a professional graphic designer. I stepped away from doing art all together and like most people during that time found a job that didn’t fulfill my passion. It just paid the bills. I worked retail for 10 years and hated it the entire time because I knew it wasn’t my passion. I made the best of those times, but in the back on my mind I knew art was my passion so I would still create things on the side just for me to keep my skills up. I’m a self taught photographer learning everything on the go. Every since the first day I picked up a camera, I was hooked. Like most beginners, I took pictures of family and friends while out and about as well as on vacation. I taught myself how to use some editing software and I never looked back. I saved my money and bought my first DSLR Nikon D5000 and the rest is history. I’ve worked as a photographer in nightclubs, I've photographed weddings, birthday parties, car shows, you name it I’ve probably did it. I love new challenges and I welcome them. I push myself to get out of my comfort zone so that I can learn more and be prepared for when that big day comes. I enjoy and take pride in what I do and feel even more joy when I see someone admiring my work without knowing it's mine. I set the bar really high for myself each and every day so that I strive to be the best. I believe quality always speaks for itself. Therefore, I put my all into each piece because I want my work to speak for itself when someone sees it for the first time. Dope Vision is my brand and it will only continue to grow. In conclusion, I'd like for you to follow me on my journey to as I continue to grow into the artist that I’m suppose to be.
Dope Vision,
Frank Nitty
